Week 8- Science of Happiness Reflection
The information I learned this week was fascinating to me. I enjoyed learning about awe, laughter, and happiness fit and I feel that the information I learned this week greatly expanded my understanding of what cultivating happiness can look like in everyday life. I found the information about greenery and the studies on Chicago housing projects very interesting and I think the science behind green spaces benefitting happiness could do a lot of good for people in everyday life. I am quite sad that the course is over, however, I feel that I have gained a lot from engaging in this learning and I will certainly carry much of this learning into the future as I implement many of these practices into my life.
I would be interested in learning more about happiness fit going forward. I find it interesting how some practices have a great impact on some and not on others. It would be interesting to me to break down what makes a practice successful in some people/ personality types that find specific practices beneficial. Going forward, I would like to do more research on mindfulness and possibly learn more about how mindfulness practices could help in school/ work settings.

YES!!! This would be a great research topic!!! " One size does nit fit all but how could you match a practice to a person?

I really like this idea for a research topic too. I think that a lot of people struggle with beginning a journey with mindfulness because of their limited knowledge of the practices or lack of enjoyment in a certain practice. Looking further into happiness fit would be very fascinating and I think it could help a lot of people who are struggling to find a practice that works for/ is sustainable for them.
